Grief, Loss and Bereavement

Feeling a sense of grief and loss when we lose someone or something precious to us makes us human. Yet it is unsettling and sometimes a lonely self-questioning journey of not knowing where we are heading. These include but are not restricted to relocation, change of a job, home, school, friends, missed opportunities or simply a yearning of our past selves or others. I help you uncover your own competency to adapt and become resilient. 

Death of a loved one, family, friends, a pet or even someone unknown can bring upon inexplicable or prolonged sadness, guilt and loneliness. I work alongside you to reflect on your emotions so you can heal and steadily find purpose again.

Interpersonal Relationships and Friendships

Relationship dynamics change over time. Adjustment can be hurtful and difficult. Exploring that your self-worth is independent of others expectations is momentous to your flourishment. I delve with you on your innate abilities and values. We align strategies which allow you to be true to yourself and build healthy relationships.

Self-care and Boundary Setting

It is not unusual to get weighed down by external pressures or the pressure we put on ourselves. This causes us to give precedence to others’ needs over ours which may make us feel frustrated, unworthy or depleted. I help you probe what barriers and self-limiting beliefs stop you from meeting your needs and form healthy boundaries.

Work and Personal Stress and Anxiety

We get so caught up in our everyday lives and working on autopilot becomes the norm. I co-navigate with my clients through self-awareness techniques to draw attention to their inner strengths. Thereby equipping you to lead your life devoid of extreme and unnecessary strain. 

Health Concerns

Physical and mental ill-health that we or our loved ones are experiencing can cause us immense worry. We may feel a range of emotions that can over a period prevent us from looking forward. I work with you on tools on how you can support yourself and others through this arduous time,

Guilt, Shame and Loneliness

When we feel guilt and shame for not acknowledging the humaneness of making mistakes, we become self-critical. I work with you as you learn to overcome loneliness by forgiving yourself.

Self-confidence and Self-esteem

Lack of self-esteem and low self-confidence can perpetuate due to several factors. Most often they are in connection where we may have felt unheard, dismissed or undervalued. This makes us second guess our self-worth as we feel judged or compare ourselves to others. Knowing that you are enough and recognizing your strengths is what we do in our time together.

School and Academic Pressure – aged 15 and above

The pressures of school and academic life are enormous. Children unfortunately for lack of knowledge feel they must go through this alone. My experience with many children has given me the skills and insight to investigate what is disturbing the child. I work with children  through combined strategies to alleviate the ‘shoulds’ that are internally and externally imposed.

Parental Support

Parents often feel stranded and struggle about how to communicate with their children. I work with parent/s on how they can effectively support their children by engaging in conducive and mutually respectful conversations.
